Amr Tahtawi from Cairo, EgyptGraffiti is an awesome theme here, playing around with the camera is nice when you have a smart eye like yours well done. 31 Mar 2008 5:42am GJC from Kyoto, JapanAgree with Amr. This is really well seen. The colors are very striking, and the composition really is effective at emphasizing the theme. 31 Mar 2008 6:30am Jan from BelgiumSeen the length of the 'tunnel', I don't think this is an easy job to frame it all with some decent lighting. I think you've managed properly !! 31 Mar 2008 8:30am Ron from Saint Louis, United StatesVery cool image, Will. The lone figure in silhouette makes for an interesting statement. 31 Mar 2008 9:58am Sean from Champaign, United StatesI must agree with the comments above, this is a very striking photo. I especially like how everything converges towards the middle with the silhouetted figure standing there. Great colors and overall warm tones. 31 Mar 2008 12:25pm Melissa W. from Warsaw, Indiana, United StatesWhat a find! Great composition! Love the colors and light. Very cool image! What is/was this place? I especially like the pipes (?) on the left. Well done. 31 Mar 2008 1:16pm @Melissa W.: ...thanks melissa...this is a tunnel that i pass everyday to/from work from the parking garage...the pipes are just drainage pipes i assume...administration at univ of fl have given up trying to paint over the graffiti...i love to shoot this tunnel since it is always evolving...but many times i'm just trying to get home asap...so i don't. chakrapani from Hyderabad, IndiaGreat framing .. The Tunnel experience draws the eye to the single person in the distance .. inspite of him being small... and yet one still notices the graffitii when the eye is travelling down the subway . 31 Mar 2008 2:25pm Oswegan from Lake Oswego, United StatesA really cool tunnel like feeling. I like that you have the silhouette at the far end and that the forground detail is in focus. 31 Mar 2008 6:00pm danthro from Suburbia, United Statesgreat capture! at first i thought this was looking up for some reason, then i saw the person and realized it was looking forward. great atmosphere. 31 Mar 2008 10:36pm Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesYour images are inspiring. You're getting some very nice effects, from bold to subtle, that make me realize I need to develop my processing skills. 14 Apr 2008 4:03pm @Twelvebit: thanks! the processing is half the fun for me...and a necessity once you start shooting in raw format:) |
